According to the story, Octolings have stolen the precious volt fish that have been supplying Inklings with electricity. You will become some kind of a special agent sent by the government to bring those fish back. To do that, you’ll have to travel around five islands each of which has a certain number of levels with their own design and secrets and a boss waiting for you in the end. The levels are quite versatile and each has its own feature making the gameplay more varied and fun: for instance, while you can shoot from a special stationary rocket gun on one of them, another will give you a chance to ride along a special railway which is going to be a rather adrenaline-soaked experience.

Fight evil Octolings and upgrade your hero!

On your way to the stolen volt fish, you’ll be opposed by Octolings that will come in different types. Some of them will simply spit ink at you, and those are pretty easy to defeat. But there will also be those covering themselves with shields and those dropping whole ink bombs. For your part, you will be able to gradually improve your own weapons and equipment discovering new kinds of guns and clothes, enhancing them with perks and thus learning new abilities or simply upgrading the old ones.
